Charity bike ride

Ian Birkett - Tuesday, August 09, 2011

Dave Simpson usually spends his days at Three Cherries helping our clients with their websites, databases and software. Next week though he will be doing a charity cycle ride from Northampton to Oxford with his wife and three children aged 7, 5 and 2. This will complete the 170 mile long South Midlands Way that they did the first 100 miles of last summer.

Dave said: “The kids all had a great time last year and raised over £2000. My eldest Harry (7) is looking forward to getting back on his bike again. I’m looking forward to Charli (5) being old enough now to be on a tagalong and able to help me pedal up the hills with all our luggage!”

They are raising money for the DEC appeal for the famine in East Africa and also Sea Mills Community Initiatives that are converting a disused toilet block into a community café. If you would like to find out more you can visit their fundraising page here.

As part of the Whatsright? trusted partners group of local businesses, Three Cherries already supports chosen charities in the Bristol area.
